CLEANING/MAINTENANCE POSITION available at the YMCA in Washington. Looking for female to clean women’s locker rooms, and restroom facilities.

Monday - Friday early mornings for 1-2 hours per day.

BUILDING MONITOR/MAINTENANCE POSITION available at the YMCA in Washington. Duties would include maintaining cleanliness and monitoring the fitness area as well as general building monitoring.

PART TIME FACILITY MAINTENANCE JOB OPENING Applicant must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Previous experience in facility maintenance is required. Must be able to lift 20-50lbs. Shifts may vary between 6am to 6pm. The YMCA of Washington County is seeking a part time facility maintenance staff for our Washington location. This position is up to 25 hours and shifts can be flexible based on applicant. Duties include general facility maintenance, janitorial and assisting the facility manager on repair projects. A background in general construction and mechanical is necessary. Benefits include child care assistance, holidays off, clothing allowance, retirement benefits and free YMCA membership.

On-Site Supervisor for Kalona Before and After School Program

We are in search of an on-site supervisor for a new program starting in August 2017. This position will assist in the successful operation of the Kalona Before and After School Program which will be held at Mid-Prairie East Elementary School (formerly Kalona Elementary). The ideal person will be able to nurture children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and a sense of belonging in youth. They will also be able to foster positive relationships between youth and have the ability to relate well with families of various backgrounds. This person will ensure high quality programs and establish new program activities.

SWIM LESSONS INSTRUCTOR Do you like to have fun at work? Can you laugh, smile and play for hours at a time? Do you want to leave a lasting impression on children’s lives? Why not have fun teaching SWIMMING LESSONS and WATER SAFETY? Washington Community YMCA is seeking enthusiastic and engaging talent to be part of our growing team in our YMCA Main Street Facility. Although we teach swimming to all ages and abilities, the majority of our students are pre-school and elementary-aged children. The ability to work with young children and their parents is the #1 priority. Schedules are flexible around weekday mornings, afternoons and/or evenings, and Saturday mornings.

CHILD CARE STAFF NEEDED! The Cornelia S. Day Child Care Center is in need of energetic, dependable and caring individuals to work in our center. Two positions are available. School Age Caregiver: Hours are 3:00pm-6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Center Staff: Center operates 5:30am-6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Hours of position to be determined.
