Five Days of Action

OCTOBER 26th - 30th

The Five Days of Action is a week designed to raise awareness and inspire adults to take action to protect children from sexual abuse.

We know the way parents and caregivers protect kids may look different in the current environment as they are adapting to new scenarios. The Five Days of Action is providing relevant, helpful resources for adults to navigate this time and continue to protect kids from sexual abuse. During this week would like to raise awareness and inspire adults to take action to protect children One Day at a Time. The below is a schedule guide - we want to encourage families, members and community members to take action! Follow along daily and complete the activities!

Monday: Awareness day! Spread the work about 5 Days of Action!

Tuesday: Internet Safety - Kids may be spending more time online or in front of a screen, parents may be working from home, having financial stressors, or have had to arrange different childcare options. Here are some digital safety resources and sample activity checklist. CLICK HERE

Wedensday: Family Code of Conduct, Being a Trusted Adult, Who is a Trusted Adult - It's important to have open communication about the different stressors, especially with children. Having honest, on-going conversations is a great protection from child sexual abuse. Checking-in with kids to see how they are feeling and paying attention to what they say is extremely important. But remember, silence is okay, too. Allow them to have the space they need to open up. Follow the links for more information and action.
