Founded in 1924, the YMCA of Washington County is a vital community organization dedicated to enriching the lives of its residents. With a long-standing commitment to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the YMCA provides a diverse range of programs and services. From fitness classes and sports activities to swimming lessons and child care, the YMCA caters to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment. As an inclusive nonprofit organization, it strives to create a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can grow physically, emotionally, and socially.

The Y promotes physical fitness, mental well-being, and social connections through diverse programs and initiatives, empowering individuals and communities to lead healthier, balanced lives.

Youth Developement

The Y youth programs offer engaging and enriching activities for young individuals, fostering personal growth, leadership skills, and a sense of community through sports, education, arts, and character-building initiatives.

Social Responsibility

Giving back and providing support to our neighbors. The Y movement has been involved in character development from the beginning, emerging with four “core values” of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Our core values are incorporated into all of our programs and services to ensure that our members are able to learn, grow and thrive.

Nonprofit

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, the Y provides crucial programs and services. With the help of generous donors, we have been able to transform the lives of families and individuals in our beloved communities. These funds go towards providing financial assistance to families in the Washington County Area, affording the capability to partake in opportunities they may not otherwise be able to afford. Last year we provided over $66,000 in scholarships and subsidies to over 760 local families right here in Washington County.
